The Part-Time Night Auditor plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless guest experience during overnight hours while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the hotel's daily financial records.
This position is responsible for performing night audit functions, overseeing Front Office operations during the overnight shift, and serving as the primary point of contact for guests and associates throughout the night. The Night Auditor balances exceptional guest service with strong attention to detail, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and daily reports are completed in accordance with Hyatt standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all nightly audit procedures and reconcile daily financial transactions.
Review, verify, and balance guest accounts, room charges, payments, and revenue postings.
Complete end-of-day processing and generate required financial and operational reports.
Ensure the accuracy of room rates, charges, discounts, and adjustments.
Prepare and distribute management reports for hotel leadership.
Oversee Front Office operations during the overnight shift and ensure established procedures are followed.
Welcome guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and respond to guest inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Handle guest concerns and service recovery situations, escalating issues when necessary.
Monitor hotel activity throughout the night to ensure guest safety, security, and satisfaction.
Maintain effective communication with Security, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to support hotel operations.
Verify cash handling procedures, balancing of cash drawers, and credit card transactions.
Assist with reservations, room assignments, and guest requests as needed.
Ensure compliance with Hyatt policies, procedures, and service standards.
Support emergency response procedures and act appropriately in urgent situations.

Previous Front Office, Guest Services, or Accounting experience in a hotel environment preferred.
Prior Night Audit experience is an asset.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to accurately reconcile financial transactions and prepare reports.
Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight operations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain standing or walking for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds when required.
Ability to work overnight shifts in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
