Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Handyman that helps us with the maintenance of our Airbnb rental property. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our building infrastructure, facilities equipment, and interior spaces. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.

Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and electrical equipment to address issues promptly.

Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage to ensure proper functionality.

Execute building interior maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general facility upkeep.

Read schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical circuits and mechanical systems effectively.

Oversee maintenance painting projects and supervise small teams or contractors when necessary.

Utilize testing tools like ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults accurately while adhering to safety standards.

Support the maintenance of facilities equipment including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and other essential building infrastructure.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance requests efficiently and communicating clearly with staff or tenants.

Requirements

Proven experience in general maintenance, repair operations (MRO), or facilities maintenance roles with a focus on electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC system repair.

Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on skills in welding, electrical equipment repair, plumbing system maintenance, and building interior upkeep.

Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.

Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus for understanding automated systems.

Experience with maintenance painting—residential or commercial—and supervising or leading small teams is preferred.

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment necessary for effective repairs.

Good communication skills in English to facilitate clear reporting and customer interactions.

Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC systems, and general facility operations.
