Oluwa Group works with small businesses in Cleveland on their card processing. We are looking for one or two people to walk commercial streets, talk to owners, and set appointments for us. You are not selling anything and you are not quoting prices — you are starting conversations and collecting a piece of paper.
What the job actually is: you walk into a business, you ask the owner who handles their card processing, and you ask for a copy of their last two processing statements plus a time for a short call with us. That is the whole job. We handle the pricing, the proposal, and the close.
How you are paid: per lead and per close, as an independent contractor. Lead payments run from $15 to $70 depending on the size of the business, and closing bonuses run from $75 to $420. Nobody is paid a salary, an hourly wage, or a draw. If you set no appointments, you earn nothing — that is a real thing to think about before applying.
Hours: yours. There is no schedule, no quota, and nobody tracking your time. Most people doing this will work a few hours a week around another job.
You need: a phone that takes clear photos, reliable transportation, and enough nerve to walk into a business where nobody is expecting you. No processing experience required — we train you and give you the scripts. Prior door-to-door, canvassing, restaurant, or retail experience helps because you already know how to talk to a busy owner.
Most people will do this for extra income alongside something else, and that is a completely fine way to use it. We would also rather grow the people we already have than keep hiring, so there is room to take on more and earn more — including a share of ongoing monthly revenue — for anyone who produces consistently. We will put those terms in writing when the time comes.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not employment. You set your own hours, provide your own transportation, and are responsible for your own taxes.
To apply: tell us in two sentences about a time you talked a stranger into something. That is the whole application.
