Project Manager

Job DescriptionPosition Summary

This role serves as the primary point of contact between the organization and customers, managing the full project lifecycle from proposal development through final delivery. The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software and hardware simulation projects and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction while coordinating cross-functional teams across domestic and international locations.ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution

Define project scope, requirements, and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders

Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations

Manage the project lifecycle from proposal development through project delivery

Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget targets

Utilize project management tools and methodologies to ensure consistent execution across projectsStakeholder & Customer Management

Serve as the single point of contact between the organization and customers for project decisions

Report on project progress, risks, and issues to internal and external stakeholders

Manage customer expectations and ensure alignment between deliverables and contractual requirements

Collaborate with distributed project teams across domestic and international locationsTeam Leadership

Coordinate cross-functional teams including development, quality assurance, and subject matter experts

Oversee testing and quality assurance activities to ensure deliverables meet functional and contractual requirements

Provide guidance and mentorship to associate project managers and project coordinators

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across project team membersVendor & Logistics Coordination

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project components

Manage logistics for domestic and international deliveries, including export and customs documentation

Communicate expected deliverables and timelines to external partnersRisk & Issue Management

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle

Escalate critical issues and recommend corrective actions to leadership

Measure project performance to identify opportunities for improvement

Document lessons learned and contribute to process improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Project/Program Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Aviation, or related field

5+ years of experience in project management or related role

Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle from initiation through delivery

Strong understanding of project management methodologies (waterfall/agile/hybrid concepts)

Working knowledge of air traffic control concepts and airfield operations, or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire domain expertise

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be qualified to apply for a Position of Public Trust clearancePreferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Experience with project management or work management tools (e.g., Monday.com, MS Project)

Familiarity with issue tracking systems such as JIRA

Experience with international logistics, including export and customs documentation

Background in air traffic management, aviation, or related simulation environments

Aviation certifications (e.g., FAA Control Tower Operator, Pilot License, or equivalent)

Experience on U.S. Government or FAA programs

Experience in defense or government contracting environmentsTravel Requirements

Domestic and international travel may be required.Work Location
