Railroad / CDL Driver

HG Railroad Services, a division of Hydro Green Erosion Control, is a railroad-services contracting company based in Opelika, Alabama. We are currently seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our emergency derailment division as CDL Heavy Equipment Drivers for our Harrisburg, PA location.

Our experienced team takes pride in delivering quality work safely, efficiently, and on schedule to meet our customers’ needs.

Previous railroad experience/familiarity is preferred but not required. This position will require you to help with some on-the-ground tasks when needed but will primarily be focused on transportation of heavy equipment and railroad material or supplies.

Responsibilities

Travel extensively to job sites, including overnight and multi-day assignments

Be held responsible for protecting company assets while transporting safely on the road

Frequently haul/transport oversized loads

Be versatile on many CDL-required company machines (tractor trailers, dump trucks, grapple trucks, etc.)

Perform duties and tasks assigned by the location supervisor

Conduct responsibilities in a fast paced environment

Work collaboratively with a team to produce a polished end result

Follow all company and railroad safety requirements

Qualifications

Hold a valid Commercial Drivers License

Pass a DOT Drug Screen and remain ready for random selection

Live near or be able to report to Enola, PA within 45 minutes

Willing and able to travel frequently and remain away from home for several days at a time

Ability to successfully complete required railroad safety training

Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions

Previous railroad or heavy-equipment experience preferred but not required
