Position Summary
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required across multiple projects and operational initiatives. This position works closely with Project Management, Supervision, Engineering, Construction, Accounting, Vendors, and Subcontractors to ensure timely purchasing, accurate documentation, and cost-effective procurement solutions.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, and committed to maintaining strong supplier relationships while supporting project schedules and budgets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations based on pricing, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, rentals, and subcontracted services.
• Track and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance and assist with supplier qualification activities.
• Work closely with project teams to identify material requirements and procurement schedules.
• Resolve issues related to pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
• Assist with inventory management, material tracking, and logistics coordination.
• Generate procurement reports and provide status updates to management.
• Support contract administration and ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or contract administration preferred.
• Experience supporting industrial construction, energy, engineering, manufacturing, or nuclear projects preferred.
• Working knowledge of procurement procedures, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and procurement or ERP systems.
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $110,000
