Westin Air is seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Installer to join our growing team in Sunbury, Ohio. In this role, you will install and commission residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. We don't believe in high-pressure sales tactics; we look for Installers who take pride in quality workmanship, and providing the customer with a professional overview of operating and maintaining the system they just installed
What You’ll Do
Installations: Install residential and light commercial HVAC equipment (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and indoor air quality systems) following local codes and manufacturer guidelines.
Craftsmanship & Ductwork: Fabricate, modify, and connect sheet metal ductwork, gas piping, electrical wiring, and refrigerant lines cleanly and efficiently.
Apprentice Mentorship: Guide and train installation apprentices on job sites, instilling strong work ethics, safety standards, and proper techniques.
Customer Interaction: Walk homeowners through completed installations, explain basic thermostat controls, and ensure their home is left cleaner than you found it.
System Commissioning: Perform startup on newly installed equipment to verify proper airflow, pressure, electrical draw, and overall operation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in residential/light commercial HVAC service and troubleshooting.
Certifications: EPA 608 Universal Certification required. NATE certification is a strong plus (or willingness to obtain with our support).
Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of electrical schematics, refrigerant flow, and mechanical systems.
