Role Description The Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jonesboro, GA, supporting the planning and execution of commercial tile, terrazzo, stone, resinous and flooring projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with project scheduling, coordination, and documentation, as well as preparing drawings, submittals, and material take-offs. The role involves collaborating with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to address technical questions, track progress, and help resolve site issues. The Project Engineer monitors project costs and timelines, supports quality control efforts, and helps ensure that work complies with specifications, safety standards, and company procedures. This position requires regular communication with internal teams and external partners to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

Strong Communication skills for collaborating with project teams, field staff, clients, and vendors

Project Management and Project Planning skills to support scheduling, coordination, budgeting, and documentation

Project Engineering experience with construction or building materials, preferably in commercial flooring or related trades

Electrical Engineering or related technical background beneficial for understanding drawings, specifications, and building systems

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Proficiency with construction software, MS Office, and reading plans and specifications

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Knowledge of construction safety practices and basic building codes is a plus
