Industrial Maintenance Technician – $28-$30/Hour

Columbus, OH Multiple Shifts Available Immediate Hiring

Power Labor is hiring experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians for a manufacturing facility in Columbus, OH.

We're looking for true industrial maintenance "jack-of-all-trades" technicians who are mechanically strong, hands-on, dependable, and comfortable working around production machinery.

PAY & SCHEDULE

$28–$30/hour

First Shift – 2 Openings

6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Second Shift – 1 Opening

2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll be responsible for keeping production equipment and the facility operating safely and efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and production equipment

Performing preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime

Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining the best solution

Making equipment adjustments and repairs as needed

Working with production teams to address equipment issues quickly

Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections

Identifying equipment problems before they become major breakdowns

Using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment

Assisting with machine setup, adjustments, and production changeovers

Following maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area

Communicating equipment issues and maintenance needs to supervisors

Assisting with other mechanical, maintenance, and production-related tasks as needed

WE'RE LOOKING FOR A TRUE INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECH

This position is a great fit for someone with a broad mechanical skill set who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous industrial maintenance experience

Strong mechanical aptitude

Experience troubleshooting production machinery

Preventative maintenance experience

Ability to diagnose problems and think through solutions

Experience using hand and power tools

Ability to read measurements and use measuring tools

Strong attention to safety and quality

Good communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Basic computer skills and the ability to learn equipment systems

You don't need to know everything — but you do need to be mechanically sharp, willing to troubleshoot, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance challenges.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is an active, hands-on industrial position.

Candidates must be able to:

Lift and move up to 50 pounds

Stand and walk for extended periods

Climb, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach as needed

Work around industrial machinery and production equipment

Use tools and equipment throughout the workday

Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

REQUIREMENTS

Industrial maintenance or closely related mechanical experience

Drug screen required

Background screen required

Reliable transportation and attendance

Ability to work the assigned shift
