Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: 2+ Months (Start: Immediate Need)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $60/hr

Per Diem: $150/Day

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Saturday 60 Hours Per Week

The Construction Safety Manager will provide daily field safety oversight for structural steel crews, ironworkers, foremen, and supervision while ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and project-specific safety standards.

Required Qualifications

CHST, ASP, CSP, or Higher BCSP Credential Required

Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience

Structural Steel and Ironworker Safety Oversight Experience Required

Experience Conducting Field Audits, Inspections, Observations, and Hazard Assessments

Strong Knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards

Ability to Maintain a Highly Visible Field Presence

What You'll Be Doing

Provide daily field safety oversight for structural steel construction activities

Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas

Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments

Monitor steel erection, decking installation, connecting activities, and rigging operations

Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and pre-task plans

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements

Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions

Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel

Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors

Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation

Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports

Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
