Job Description

Python Developer to join the application development team in Columbus, Ohio.

The developer will focus primarily on backend API development using Python and will support APIs consumed by mobile applications.

The role involves developing multiple REST APIs, enhancing existing backend services, and working with AWS cloud services to deploy and support scalable applications.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend REST APIs using Python.

Build multiple APIs supporting mobile application.

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services.

Work closely with frontend/mobile developers to support application functionality.

Develop APIs for mobile application integration.

Troubleshoot and resolve API and backend application issues.

Work with AWS cloud services, particularly ECS.

Use AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.

Develop and maintain cloud-native applications.

Participate in API design, technical discussions, code reviews, and testing.

Write clean, reusable, maintainable Python code.

Support application releases and production deployments.

Collaborate with QA, Product, DevOps, and other engineering teams.

Help deliver new mobile-app capabilities and backend services.
