Full-time / Part-time Computer Technician II (carrying the job title of ‘Software Developer’)

Join our dynamic team as a Computer Technician II (Software Developer) and help shape the future of education. You will contribute to the development of Knowledge and Education Exchange Platform (KEEP) and VeriGuide, building innovative solutions powered by Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), multimodal AI, learning analytics, and cloud-native technologies to enhance learning, teaching, academic integrity, and student success across higher education.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) developing, testing, and supporting new features in our KEEP e-learning web and AI applications; (b) engaging in various projects, workshops, and presentations; and (c) assisting in software design and prepare comprehensive software documentation.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering Information Technology, or a related field; (ii) strong programming and software development skills, preferably in modern web technologies and full-stack application development using Next.js, TypeScript and Python; (iii) knowledge of using database systems, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL; (iv) strong self-motivation, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team; and (v) an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Having experience integrating Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents and cloud technologies into real-world applications will be an advantage. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
