The Powersports Experienced Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of a wide range of powersports vehicles including motorcycles, ATVs, and personal watercraft. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to the highest standards. The technician will work closely with customers and team members to deliver exceptional service and support, contributing to customer satisfaction and business success. Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience as a powersports technician or mechanic with a strong background in servicing motorcycles, ATVs, or similar vehicles.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate powersports vehicles as needed for testing and diagnostics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in performing repairs and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from a recognized powersports or motorcycle technician program (e.g., ASE, OEM-specific certifications).
Experience with electronic fuel injection systems, computerized diagnostics, and advanced vehicle technologies.
Familiarity with warranty repair procedures and documentation.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on powersports vehicles, including engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension systems.
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Collaborate with parts and sales departments to ensure timely availability of necessary components and support overall customer satisfaction.
