About this role

We need experienced concrete carpenters in Columbus, OH for per diem assignments building and assembling concrete forms. You'll work on government and commercial projects, set forms accurately, and help ensure pours go smoothly. This is hands-on work: read and follow construction drawings, lay out formwork and reinforcement, rig and brace systems, and collaborate with crew members on site. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are required.

What you'll do

Build, set and brace concrete forms per drawings and site requirements

Interpret construction and civil drawings to lay out formwork and anchor locations

Install concrete reinforcement, form ties, and accessories; ensure correct placement before pours

Collaborate with crew to support concrete placement, finishing crews, and form removal

Inspect formwork for accuracy and quality; maintain tools, rigging, and on-site equipment

What we're looking for

Proven experience with concrete formwork carpentry and system/frame & brace scaffolding

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Experience with concrete reinforcing, placement/pouring, finishing, and curing protection

Rigging and site layout skills; able to set anchors, ties, and form accessories accurately

Comfort working in all weather conditions and on government or commercial job sites

Qualifications

Bilingual: English and Spanish (required)

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites

Proven concrete formwork experience on commercial or government projects

Willingness to comply with site-required drug screen and background check

Able to lift heavy materials and work standing for long periods; comfortable with heights and scaffolding
