Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,830 - $1,930

Unit: Mother/Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum

Setting: 40-bed inpatient postpartum unit with a family-centered care model

Orientation: 36 hours

Weekend Coverage: Required

Float: May float to similar-acuity inpatient units as needed

Job Requirements

Active RN license in hand at time of submission

Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required

BLS and NRP certification required

IV start skills required

L&D experience required

EPIC experience preferred

Telemetry interpretation required; ability to pass an EKG exam prior to start

Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Experience supporting new parents with education and discharge teaching

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to postpartum patients and healthy newborns

Care for patients recovering from vaginal delivery and cesarean section

Perform newborn assessments, cord care, feeding support, and thermoregulation monitoring

Deliver patient and family education on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery

Manage common postpartum conditions including pain, bleeding, incision care, and blood pressure concerns

Support readmitted postpartum patients with conditions such as wound infection and preeclampsia

Administer medications and IV therapies as indicated

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, coordinated care

Float to similar-acuity areas within the organization when needed
