Infection Prevention & Staff Education Coordinator

Are you passionate about patient safety and love mentoring others? We're looking for an experienced Infection Prevention (IP) Staff Educator to join our team and help keep our residents, patients, and staff safe while building a culture of excellence through education.

In this role, you'll lead the charge on infection prevention protocols and serve as the go-to resource for staff training and development. You'll blend clinical expertise with a passion for teaching — helping our team grow their skills while ensuring the highest standards of care.

What You'll Do:

Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs in line with CMS, CDC, and state regulations

Conduct staff education and training on infection control best practices, new hire orientation, and ongoing in-services

Track and analyze infection surveillance data, identifying trends and leading quality improvement initiatives

Partner with clinical leadership to ensure compliance and survey readiness

Serve as a mentor and resource for staff at every level

What We're Looking For:

RN or LPN license in good standing (required)

Prior experience in infection prevention and/or staff education, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting

Strong communication and presentation skills — you can make training engaging, not just informative

CIC certification a plus, or willingness to obtain

A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a genuine passion for teaching and mentorship
