Magician assistant

Thimeos Magic is looking for a reliable, energetic, and professional Magician’s Assistant to help with live magic shows and events throughout the Austin area\.

This is a fun, unique opportunity for someone who enjoys entertainment, working with people, and being part of live performances\. No previous magic experience is required — training will be provided\.

### What You’ll Do

- Assist the magician before, during, and after performances

- Help set up and break down magic props and equipment

- Organize and prepare props for upcoming tricks

- Assist backstage and during stage performances

- Help with audience participation when needed

- Help transport and carefully handle performance equipment

- Maintain a professional and friendly appearance around clients and guests

- Assist with live animals used in certain performances after proper training

- Travel to local events, parties, restaurants, corporate events, and other venues

### Who We’re Looking For

The ideal person is:

- Dependable and punctual

- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable around people

- Comfortable performing or appearing in front of an audience

- Able to follow directions and keep performance details confidential

- Organized and attentive to detail

- Comfortable working around children and families

- Comfortable around small animals

- Able to lift and move performance equipment

- Available evenings and weekends as needed

- Has reliable transportation

Previous experience in **theater, dance, performing arts, entertainment, events, hospitality, or customer service** is a plus, but not required\.

### Schedule

This is a part\-time, event\-based position. Hours will vary depending on scheduled performances\. Evening and weekend availability is important
