Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a restaurants and catering organization in Columbus, Ohio.

This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment.

The person in this role will help maintain accurate records, process invoices, and keep accounting data current using Oracle and related systems.

Responsibilities: - Manage incoming invoices, confirm supporting details, and enter transactions accurately into accounting systems.

- Support accounts payable activities by preparing items for payment, tracking due dates, and helping maintain timely vendor processing.

- Handle accounts receivable tasks by recording payments, updating customer account information, and following up on outstanding balances as needed.

- Perform high-volume data entry with strong attention to accuracy to keep financial records complete and up to date.

- Reconcile accounting information and review entries to identify discrepancies, missing details, or posting errors.

- Use Oracle and invoice processing tools to maintain organized documentation and support daily accounting workflows.

- Assist with record maintenance, filing, and reporting so financial information is easy to access and audit-ready when needed.

Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar accounting support role.

- Practical experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Working knowledge of Oracle in a business accounting environment.

- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial documentation.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a busy office setting.

- Clear communication skills and a dependable, detail-oriented approach to daily work responsibilities.
