Data Analytics Manager (Chief Data Officer)

What you will do…

• Serves as Chief Data Officer: creates, coordinates & manages the agency's data strategy & roadmap

• Develops & ensures adherence to data management & data governance related policies, procedures & processes in partnership with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) & other agency leadership

• Works with & supervises the activities of staff assigned to develop, coordinate, implement & oversee data management, data governance & data analytics

• Oversees all aspects of the department's public & internal data analytics

• Oversees all aspects of artificial intelligence for the agency

Starting hourly pay of $48.93/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $69.94/hr.

There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates Exempt Employees Department of Administrative Services.

Training and Development Required to remain in the Classification After Employment: All state-offered & agency-directed technical training assigned to senior data analytics specialist; continuing education credits to be completed by classification requirements annually, as directed.

Note: This position is unclassified in accordance with ORC 124.11 (A) (9).

-Or completion of associate core program in data analytics, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field AND 66 mos. exp. or trg. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods AND 12 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in data analytics, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field AND 60 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods AND 12 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

-Or completion of graduate core program in data analytics, computer science, information systems, computer engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field AND 48 mos. exp. or trg. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods AND 12 mos. exp. in supervisory &/or management principles & techniques.

-Or 12 mos. exp. as a Data Analytics Supervisor/Lead, 66936.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
