This posting is for future Temporary Full-Time positions within Maintenance Operations.

Ajax/Pickering: 2020 Salem Road Ajax

Orono: 3480 Taunton Road Orono

Oshawa/Whitby: 825 Conlin Road Whitby

Scugog: 10 Goodwood Road Port Perry

Sunderland: S995 River Street Sunderland

Labourer - Maintenance Operations (Temporary)

The incumbent will:

- Assist in the repair, inspections and maintenance of water, sewer and road systems

- Operate tandem and single axel vehicles to perform winter maintenance activities

- Perform shift, standby duty and overtime work and can respond quickly

- Perform other related duties as assigned

Applicants will:

-Have a Grade 12 diploma

-Have a valid Ontario Class 'D' Licence with 'Z' endorsement

-Have previous experience working with the various installation, maintenance and repair procedures for the roads, water and sewer systems including winter maintenance activities

-The ability to maintain neat and accurate records

-The ability to deal effectively with the public and to work cooperatively with co-workers

-Be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting

-A commitment to treating all clients and colleagues with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity

Labourer Hourly Rates

- Start Rate: $35.67 - Job Rate: $36.67

Conditions of Employment
