Lead Java Engineer III

Software Engineering Position

Build and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices deployed on AWS EKS. Own backend development end-to-end — from design through production deployment. Contribute to React/TypeScript UI where needed. Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives. Conduct code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the team.

3+ years Java development; Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices. Hands-on Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker experience owning deployments. AWS experience — EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch at minimum. Proven ability to engage and communicate with non-technical stakeholders. Agile/Scrum delivery experience in a team environment. React and TypeScript — working knowledge sufficient.

AWS certification. CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Experience in financial services. Kafka or messaging queue exposure.
