Pay Rate: Up to $58.00/hour

Patient Care Setting: Hospice

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour Night Shifts per Week

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Night Shift)

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

On-Call Requirement: Not Specified

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hospice Inpatient Unit (IPU) team in Collierville, Tennessee. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to hospice patients, ensuring comfort, dignity, symptom management, and support for patients and their families during end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients in an inpatient setting.

Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.

Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.

Manage pain and symptoms effectively to maximize patient comfort and quality of life.

Collaborate with physicians, hospice staff, social workers, chaplains, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.

Educate patients and family members regarding disease progression, symptom management, and end-of-life care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and provide clinical support during critical situations.

Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Current BLS certification (preferred).

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospice environment.

Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous Hospice Inpatient Unit (IPU) experience.

Experience providing end-of-life and palliative care.

Strong symptom management and pain control expertise.

Familiarity with hospice standards, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
