Elmet Technologies is hiring a 3rd Shift Machine Operator – Sintering to join our manufacturing team in Coldwater, MI.

You don’t need years of manufacturing experience to get started. If you’re dependable, comfortable working with your hands, willing to learn, and serious about working safely, we want to hear from you.

You’ll receive hands-on training to learn our furnaces, equipment, measuring tools, safety procedures, and manufacturing processes.

$20.50-$25.50 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential for 3rd shift

$250 perfect-attendance bonus every month — up to $3,000 per year

Your Schedule

This is a full-time, 3rd Shift position at our Coldwater manufacturing facility.

You’ll work as part of our production team operating and monitoring specialized furnaces used to manufacture high-performance metal products.

What You’ll Do

As a Machine Operator in Sintering, you’ll help operate the furnaces and equipment that turn materials into finished products that meet our quality standards.

During a typical shift, you’ll:

Safely operate and monitor production furnaces and related equipment

Prepare furnaces and materials for production

Select the correct materials for loading based on production requirements

Safely load and unload parts and materials

Visually inspect parts before and after processing

Monitor furnace speed and temperature

Record operating information and make adjustments when needed

Inspect finished parts to make sure they meet specifications

Learn to use measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators

Identify production orders and maintain accurate product traceability

Follow established safety procedures, including procedures for power interruptions and furnace operations

Complete required production and inspection records

Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized

Help with other production activities as needed

Never used a micrometer or dial caliper? That’s okay. We can teach you.

What matters is your ability to learn, follow procedures, work safely, and pay attention to details.Requirements:

Are willing to learn how to operate specialized furnaces and equipment

Can perform basic math

Can accurately record production information

Work well as part of a team

Previous manufacturing experience is helpful, but it is not required.

If you’ve worked in manufacturing, warehousing, construction, automotive, maintenance, food production, equipment operation, skilled trades, or another hands-on environment, you may already have skills that can help you succeed at Elmet.
