Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Audio-Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will play a crucial role in the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for various events and presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality audio-visual experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Setup and Operation:

Install, set up, and operate audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, microphones, and video screens.

Ensure the proper functioning and calibration of equipment before and during events.

Event Support:

Provide on-site technical support during events, conferences, and presentations.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure a seamless experience for clients and event attendees.

Maintenance and Repairs:

Perform routine maintenance on audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Identify and address any equipment malfunctions or defects, coordinating repairs as necessary.

Technical Expertise:

Stay up-to-date on the latest audio-visual technologies and industry trends.

Provide technical expertise and recommendations for equipment upgrades or improvements.

Collaboration:

Work closely with event planners, organizers, and other staff to understand audio-visual requirements for each event.

Collaborate with other technicians and support staff to ensure a seamless and coordinated audio-visual experience.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, configurations, and maintenance history.

Create and update documentation for standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, systems, and technologies.

Proficiency in operating soundboards, video switchers, and related equipment.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events.

Education: Ascociate's degree in Audio-Visual Technology, Broadcasting, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Skills:

Familiarity with audio-visual software and applications.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
