Tower Technician

Job Description

The Tower Technician is responsible for climbing and maintaining telecommunications towers, ensuring equipment installation and safety compliance are met. This role involves working at heights up to 300 feet and requires occasional travel for training sessions. Technicians typically operate within a small specialized team and must be flexible with overtime schedules during weekdays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Climb and work safely at heights up to 300 feet

Install telecommunications equipment on towers

Maintain and troubleshoot tower equipment

Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and compliance standards

Work overtime Monday through Friday and weekends when necessary

Travel occasionally for training with paid travel time

Contribute to ongoing performance improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in telecommunications tower work

Preferred Qualifications

Technical training in telecommunications or a related field
