The role will assist the Archaeology Projects Program Manager in completing archaeological surveys, shovel testing, excavations, construction monitoring, recording, documentation, artifact identification, cataloging, and report writing.
rn rnEssential Functions:rnrnConduct all aspects of archaeological (Phase I-III) fieldwork.rnConduct archaeological monitoring.rnConduct resource photography and mapping in the field, including GPS data collection.
rnPerform processing and cataloging of collections recovered during projects.
rnContribute to technical reports of the results of archaeological fieldwork.
rnConduct research and literature reviews.
rnPrepare site forms.rnFrequent in-state travel, potentially overnight for extended periods of time.rnrn rnRequired Education & Experience:rnrnBachelor's degree (or higher) in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field.
rn1-3 year of archaeological field and/or lab experience in a CRM, academic, or museum setting.
