Senior Java Full Stack Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Java engineer to join a large-scale technology environment, working on modern applications used across a complex global organisation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, improving existing systems and helping shape the design of scalable, reliable applications.

What you’ll be doing:

Designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot

Building event-driven applications and integrations using Apache Kafka

Developing and optimising Oracle SQL and PL/SQL

Creating clean REST APIs and supporting responsive React applications

Contributing to technical design and architecture decisions

Reviewing code and supporting other engineers within the team

Working with Docker, Kubernetes and modern CI/CD pipelines

What we’re looking for:

Strong commercial experience with Core Java and Spring Boot

Hands-on experience with microservices and Apache Kafka

Good Oracle SQL and database-performance knowledge

Experience developing or integrating with React applications

An understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or cloud-based environments

The confidence to contribute to design discussions and mentor other developers

You don’t need to have used every technology listed, but you should be a strong hands-on Java engineer who is comfortable working across modern backend and full-stack applications.
