Mechanic

Job Description

The Mechanic will primarily work on a variety of vehicle types, performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repair tasks both independently and as part of a small team. This role occasionally involves handling emergency repair calls and offers opportunities for specialization in diagnostic technology and specific vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

Perform vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools

Conduct repairs and parts replacement efficiently

Carry out safety inspections to ensure vehicle compliance

Manage tools and equipment properly

Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status

Respond to emergency repair calls as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in automotive mechanics

Knowledge of Pennsylvania state vehicle inspection regulations

Familiarity with engine repair, brake systems, and electrical systems

Proficient in using diagnostic tools

Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills

Effective time management and communication abilities
