Metal Laser Operator

Job Description

The Metal Laser Operator is responsible for operating laser cutting equipment to fabricate metal components from mixed metals primarily during the day shift. The role requires extensive experience with CNC or automated laser machines and includes performing basic maintenance on machinery to ensure smooth operation. The operator must work precisely and safely, following blueprints and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate metal parts from mixed metals

Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment

Follow blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate cutting

Adhere to safety procedures and quality control standards

Work primarily day shift hours

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in metal fabrication

Extensive experience with CNC or automated laser machines

Preferred Qualifications

Technical training in metalworking or laser operation

Knowledge of laser cutting and metal fabrication processes

Blueprint reading skills

Strong quality control focus

Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
