Building Maintenance Technician

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a Building Maintenance Technician to support safe, welcoming facilities for clients and staff. In this role, you'll perform preventive and routine maintenance, minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks, safety checks, and basic repairs across residential and program sites. You'll respond to work orders, coordinate with vendors, and maintain clean, functional spaces that reflect our trauma-informed, client-centered values. Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment

Complete minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs

Respond to and prioritize maintenance work orders across sites

Conduct regular safety and facility condition inspections

Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed

Maintain clean, organized, and safe mechanical and storage areas

Document maintenance activities and report facility issues promptly

Support emergency and after-hours maintenance needs on rotation

Follow safety, compliance, and infection-control standards in all work

Collaborate with program staff to minimize disruption to client services
