Built on a foundation of safety, quality, and integrity, our team solves complex engineering challenges and builds the critical infrastructure that powers the nation.\n Position Summary\n The Senior Estimator leads the estimating process for heavy civil construction projects from initial concept through final bid submission.

This role develops accurate cost estimates, evaluates project risks, coordinates with operations, and plays a vital part in winning profitable work.\n Primary Responsibilities\n\n Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, typically exceeding $10M+.\n Analyze project drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents to understand scope and risks.\n Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and price labor, materials, equipment, and production rates.\n Solicit, evaluate, scope-align, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals.\n Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to validate construction methods, sequencing, and production assumptions.\n Prepare bid packages, assist with value engineering, and lead executive review presentations.\n Maintain historical cost databases and mentor junior estimating staff.\n\n Qualifications\n\n 7–10+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience.\n Strong background in earthwork, concrete structures, bridges, underground utilities, or highway/industrial construction.\n Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, B2W, InEight, AGTEK, Bluebeam, Excel).\n Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.\n Experience with Design-Build, USACE, or DOT infrastructure projects is a plus.\n\n Benefits\n\n Competitive base salary + annual performance incentives.\n Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.\n 401(k) with company match.\n Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.\n Company-paid Life and AD&D insurance; short & long-term disability options.\n
