This role supports students with diverse learning needs in special education and general education settings by reinforcing instructional activities under the direction of certified teachers.

Daily responsibilities include assisting with individualized education program (IEP) implementation, providing one-on-one or small group support, helping with classroom organization and materials, and monitoring student progress and behavior.

The paraprofessional helps with accommodations and modifications, supports positive behavior strategies, and assists students with personal care or mobility needs as required.

Collaboration with teachers, therapists, and families is essential to promote student independence, safety, and engagement throughout the school day.\n Qualifications\n \n\n Strong Communication skills to interact clearly with students, educators, and families.\n Effective Interpersonal Skills for building positive, respectful relationships and working as part of a team.\n Behavior Management skills to support positive behavior, de-escalate challenging situations, and follow school behavior plans.\n Experience Working With Children in educational or childcare settings, with patience and empathy for diverse needs.\n Knowledge of Special Education practices, IEPs, and inclusive classroom support.\n High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in education or special education is preferred.\n Ability to follow teacher and administrator guidance, maintain confidentiality, and comply with district policies.\n Basic computer skills for accessing educational resources, documenting student support, and communicating with staff.\n Capacity to assist with physical tasks such as moving classroom materials and, when needed, supporting student mobility.\n
