Title: HVAC Project Manager
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary: Up to $150K + Benefits
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join its growing team in Columbus, Ohio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in commercial HVAC or mechanical construction to take ownership of projects from initial handover through completion. The successful candidate will manage commercial, industrial, healthcare, and other large-scale mechanical projects throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Manage HVAC projects from handover through completion
Oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost control
Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation
Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
Manage RFIs, change orders, purchase orders, and material releases
Monitor project progress, financial performance, and project schedules
Lead project meetings, site visits, and coordination meetings
Manage equipment and material procurement
Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and scope changes
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Oversee project closeout, commissioning, and final handover
Requirements
Previous Project Management experience within HVAC or mechanical construction
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and installation methods
Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
Strong budgeting, scheduling, and cost-control experience
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not essential
Knowledge of the Columbus and Central Ohio construction market is preferred
