Software Engineer Columbus, Ohio Hybrid

I'm currently working with a fast-growing technology consultancy, founded through a joint venture between a leading global management consultancy and a global alternative investment fund manager, who are expanding their Software Engineering capability in the US.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to work at the intersection of technology, consulting and client delivery, solving complex problems and delivering high-impact solutions for leading organisations.

The Opportunity

You'll work closely with clients, stakeholders and technical teams to understand complex business challenges and translate them into pragmatic, scalable technology solutions.

The role offers genuine ownership across the full software development lifecycle, with the opportunity to work across different projects, technologies and client environments.

You'll be responsible for:

Designing and delivering high-quality software solutions

Working directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements

Taking ownership of projects from conception through to delivery

Collaborating with consultants, engineers and client teams

Challenging existing systems and processes through technology and innovation

Adapting to different technologies and business environments

Building your understanding of both technology and the wider commercial problem

What We're Looking For

We're interested in Software Engineers with strong technical fundamentals and a broad engineering mindset.

Ideally, you'll have:

4+ years' commercial Software Engineering experience

Strong experience with Python, Java, C#/.NET or Rust

Full-stack development experience

Exposure to modern technologies such as React, Cloud or Data Engineering

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience taking ownership of projects end-to-end

The ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to different environments

Previous consulting or client-facing experience would be highly beneficial

3.3 – 3.7 GPA or above

You don't need to match every technology.

Engineering fundamentals, adaptability and breadth are more important than narrow technical specialisation.
