Senior Software Engineer Columbus, OH
Pay: $78.98 - $110.00/hour
Contract: 1 year with up to a possible 2 year extension.
Location: Columbus, OH 43215
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support data migration and software development initiatives in a fast-paced Agile environment.
The primary focus of this position will be the delivery of data migration topics, ensuring high-quality data is migrated from legacy systems to new systems. This will include data mapping, SQL development, technical analysis, testing, and implementation support.
IMPORTANT LOCATION REQUIREMENT:
Candidates must already be local to Columbus, Ohio at the time of resume submission. Candidates who would need to relocate will not be considered due to an immediate hiring need.
Work Arrangement:
This is a hybrid position
During onboarding and training, expected to be onsite approximately 4 days per week
Training is expected to last approximately 2 months
Following completion of training, the position transitions to 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home per week
Candidates must be local to the Columbus, OH area when submitted
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business and technical requirements
Perform technical analysis of new and existing systems
Support data migration activities from legacy systems
Develop data mapping and SQL solutions
Triage and analyze technical issues and tickets
Develop technical design documentation
Perform coding, configuration, code reviews, and peer consultations
Develop and execute unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing
Support defect management and resolution
Support technical design and implementation activities
Work with cross-functional IT and Business teams
Support Agile delivery processes
Collaborate with Product Owners and Business teams to define requirements and acceptance criteria
Create and maintain user stories and prioritized backlogs
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and daily scrums
Resolve or escalate technical risks and issues
Support release planning and ongoing production operations
Provide guidance and technical support to other team members
Support DevOps, ITSM, and ITIL processes
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
5-10 years of IT experience
3-5 years of application development experience in a Microsoft environment
Strong Tableau skills
Strong technical analysis skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to structure and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
Strong prioritization and time management skills
In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices
Experience with software development processes, architectures, and technologies
Experience with databases and common IT technologies
