Peoples Bank & Trust is seeking an experienced detail-oriented and highly motivated Loan Processor II to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our lenders by managing the processing and coordination of consumer, commercial, and mortgage loan packages from application through closing.

The ideal candidate brings strong loan processing experience and familiarity with platforms such as Fiserv, Finastra LaserPro, or similar systems.

Position Summary: Manage, prepare and coordinate the documentation for processing consumer, commercial and mortgage loans. Supports lenders by collecting financial documentation on new and renewal loan requests. Collaborates with internal staff to ensure loan package progress from application through closing and final file completion. Serve as a point of contact for borrowers and provide general banking support and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

Communicate directly with customers and distribute loan application packages as requested by lenders.

Serve as a point of contact for borrowers, addressing inquiries and supporting their banking needs.

Coordinate with attorneys, legal assistants, and appraisers to facilitate real estate transactions.

Request and obtain payoff information from other financial institutions.

Documentation & Processing

Collect, review and organize required financial documents for new and renewals loan requests.

Prepare loan documentation using lending software platforms. M

Manage document and execution (e-signature, in-person, or attorney- facilitated).

Complete MV-1 forms and e-title transactions.

Upload and maintain complete loan files within core banking system.

Loan & Closing Coordination

Coordinate loan closings with customers, lenders, and legal partners.

Interface loans within the core banking system and process funding.

Reporting & Data Management

Order and review required reports (credit, CIP, Secretary of State search, JD Power, MLA, etc.)

Obtain flood certifications for real estate transactions when applicable.

Conduct market research and assist lenders in preparing credit approvals.

Prepare reports and supporting documentation for lenders as needed.

Compliance & Professional Standards

Maintain strict confidentiality of customers financial information.

Ensure adherence to all regulatory, compliance, and internal policies.

Complete any required training, including occasional after-hours sessions.

Additional Duties

Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of lending team.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED 3+ years recent experience processing consumer, commercial loans and mortgage loans.

High School Diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Technical Skills:

Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Fiserv (Premier, Director)

Finastra LaserPro

Kinective ProSign or DocuSign (or similar tools)

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
