Social Worker - LT Sub

Starting Date: November 2, 2026- December 11, 2026 and April 26th through June 4th Report to: Director of Student Services and Building Principals Job Goal: The School Social Worker will provide direct support to students experiencing social/emotional barriers to their learning and support the Social Emotional Learning initiatives throughout the buildings.

Responsibilities: 1.

Counsel students whose behavior, school progress, or condition necessitates assistance.

2.

Encourage parents and students to participate in the learning process through frequent and meaningful communication 3.

Consult with staff and parents regarding student concerns 4.

Interface with outside agencies and providers as appropriate and necessary to support students in school 5.

Actively participate in Child Study/ Student Response Teams meetings 6.

Possess background knowledge and experience with students who have social/emotional challenges 7.

Regularly provide advice and expertise to teachers and staff in supportive interventions and strategies to promote effective and appropriate academic, behavioral, and social emotional learning experience for all students 8.

Work collaboratively with all stakeholders (parents, teachers, staff, administration, outside agencies) to support student learning and personal growth) 9.Other duties as reasonably directed by the Director of Student Services.
