HR & Talent Acquisition Partner – Alberta
FOUNDING ROLE
Avizia RH · Calgary, AB · Hybrid · Permanent
Build the Alberta division of a recruitment firm that doesn't work like the others!
Most recruitment jobs hand you a desk, a quota and a process someone else designed. This one hands you a province and endless possibilities.
Avizia RH is a Quebec-based HR and recruitment firm serving construction, manufacturing and industrial employers. We don't charge per placement, Our clients pay a fixed monthly fee for unlimited recruitment and HR support, and we work as an extension of their team — not as a vendor.
That model has worked greatly in Quebec and we're now bringing it to Alberta, and we're hiring the person who will deliver it on the ground.
You'll be the first HR & Talent Acquisition Partner in the province, working alongside our Alberta business development lead and the full Quebec delivery team. You'll own the client relationships in your portfolio, run their recruitment end-to-end, advise them on HR matters, and shape how Avizia operates in the West. As the division grows, so will your role.
What you'll do
Act as the dedicated HR and recruitment partner for a portfolio of Alberta clients (construction, energy, manufacturing)
Run full-cycle recruitment for trades, technical, supervisory and management roles: intake, sourcing, headhunting, screening, interviews, offers
Advise clients on HR fundamentals: job descriptions, compensation positioning, onboarding, retention, employment standards
Build and maintain a strong Alberta talent pipeline using our ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter and direct sourcing
Partner with our business development lead on discovery calls, client onboarding and service delivery
Work with the Quebec team to adapt our tools, processes and playbooks to the Alberta market
Track and report on portfolio activity, time-to-fill and client satisfaction
What we're looking for
Minimum 5+ years in recruitment and/or HR generalist work, ideally in construction, industrial, energy or manufacturing environments; agency and in-house backgrounds both welcome
Proven ability to fill hard-to-fill roles through direct sourcing, not just job postings
Comfortable owning client relationships and having candid conversations with owners and site managers
Entrepreneurial: you want to build something, not inherit a desk
Solid working knowledge of Alberta employment standards
CPHR designation or in progress is an asset
French is an asset (you'll collaborate daily with a francophone team, but client work is in English). Our team speaks in english too.
Based in Calgary and valid driver's licence (ponctual client site visits)
What we offer
Salary depending on experience
Group insurance after 3 months
Mileage allowance for client visits
Laptop, phone, software and corporate apparel provided
Hybrid schedule — 50% home and office
A founding seat: real influence on how the Alberta division is built
Direct access to the partners and a great Quebec founding team that has done this before and can assist you.
We're not testing an idea in Alberta. We're replicating something that works, and we're committing the people, tools and time to make it work here. What we can't replicate from Quebec is the person on the ground who treats this division as their own.
The person who takes this seat and invests in it will grow with the division — in scope, in responsibility, in title, and in how they're rewarded. We've built our firm on people who bet on us early, This is the next one.
