Description:

The processing line stops, and that is when this job starts. Sanitation Technicians in Holland take apart the equipment that ran product all day, clean and sanitize every surface of it, and put it back together so the next shift can start clean. If the machines are not right in the morning, everyone knows it.

This is a food processing plant handling and packaging eggs. The work happens on the production floor after operations wind down, around moving mechanical parts, water, and sanitation chemicals. Temperatures are controlled for product standards, with cooler zones in certain areas. Noise stays moderate. Good Manufacturing Practices apply throughout, meaning hairnets, clean clothes, and personal protective equipment where conditions call for it.

Disassembly comes first, then high pressure washing, manual scrubbing, hoses, hand tools, and chemicals mixed to spec. You are on your feet the whole shift, lifting up to fifty pounds on occasion. Equipment goes back together, wear gets flagged, and paperwork closes it out. Food safety in this plant runs through this position.
