Job Summary:
This individual will support our manufacturing operations by ensuring products meet company and customer quality standards. This role is critical in inspecting, testing, and documenting quality-related data throughout the production process to help maintain high standards of product integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts/products using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Perform quality tests and checks according to control plans, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Identify, document, and report non-conforming products or processes; assist in containment and corrective action efforts.
Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain accurate inspection and test records using manual logs or digital quality systems.
Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and help prepare necessary documentation.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve product quality and reduce scrap or rework.
Qualifications and Experience:
Technical certificate or associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in the use of standard inspection tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and basic statistical process control (SPC).
Strong attention to detail, record-keeping, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with quality software, ERP systems, or CMMS is a plus.
Working Conditions:
May involve standing for long periods and lifting light to moderate materials.
