The Department of Psychiatry is recruiting a Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant to assist in the preparation of a pedagogical project about developing and evaluating empathy in medical education through AI platform and humanities workshops.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Medical Sciences, Public Health, or related fields; (ii) the ability to work both independently as well as in a team; (iii) a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit; (iv) good communication skills to work with stakeholders of the project; and (v) research skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
The appointee will be responsible for (a) making preparation works for the aforementioned project (including literature review, liaising with stakeholders, as well as assisting AI platform development, curriculum development and humanities workshop design); (b) preparing assessment and evaluation for participating medical students; and (c) performing information and data management. The appointee will have the opportunity to learn to revisit empathy in an interdisciplinary perspective as well as assist development of specific AI pedagogical platforms.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to seven months commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and funding availability.
