Description:

About the Role\n We’re looking for a high-energy, operationally minded Business Operations Associate to join our growing employment law firm.

This is not a traditional administrative role.

You’ll report directly to the firm’s Managing Director and serve as a hands-on generalist across client intake, business operations, business development, technology, and process improvement.

We’re a small team that operates differently from a traditional law firm.

We’ve invested heavily in technology, automation, repeatable systems, and efficient processes that allow us to operate at scale.

We’re looking for someone who can execute those systems exceptionally well - and, over time, help make them even better.

For an early-career professional, this is an opportunity to gain unusually broad exposure to how a growing business actually operates.\n \n What You'll Do\n Your work will primarily span three areas:\n \n Client Intake & Case Development\n\n Communicate with prospective clients and conduct initial qualification calls using established processes.\n Ask structured questions, gather information, and accurately document conversations.\n Manage leads and follow-up activity through HubSpot CRM.\n Communicate with existing clients when needed to gather information and provide non-legal case updates.\n Help improve responsiveness, intake conversion, and the overall client experience.\n\n \n Business Operations & Execution\n\n Execute recurring operational workflows and ensure projects stay on schedule.\n Coordinate projects and follow through on action items across the firm.\n Support the execution of high-volume direct-mail campaigns, including printing, automated folding/inserting, postage, and quality control.\n Troubleshoot day-to-day operational issues and find practical solutions.\n Take ownership of projects and business needs that don’t always fit neatly into someone else’s job description.\n\n \n Technology & Process Improvement\n\n Learn and execute established technology-enabled workflows.\n Identify repetitive work that can be simplified, standardized, automated, or eliminated.\n Help test and implement new tools and processes.\n Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend better approaches.\n Document successful processes so they can be consistently repeated and scaled.\n\n \n Prior automation experience is not required.

We care more about technological curiosity, adaptability, and an instinct for finding a better way to get things done.\n \n What We're Looking For\n\n Action-oriented: You take initiative and move things forward.\n Highly organized: You can manage multiple workflows, deadlines, and follow-ups simultaneously.\n Comfortable talking to people: You’re confident, personable, empathetic, and comfortable spending a meaningful portion of your day on the phone.\n Technologically curious: You learn new systems quickly and look for ways technology can improve how work gets done.\n Process-minded: You notice inefficiencies and think about how to improve them.\n Detail-oriented: Accuracy matters, whether you’re documenting a conversation or executing a large operational project.\n Resourceful and adaptable: You’re willing to figure things out and comfortable with both interesting projects and work that simply needs to get done.\n Reliable: When you own something, people can count on you to finish it.\n\n \n Qualifications\n\n Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.\n 0–3 years of professional experience; exceptional recent graduates are encouraged to apply.\n Strong verbal and written communication skills.\n Strong organization and attention to detail.\n Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.\n Experience in operations, customer success, sales development, client intake, project coordination, CRM systems, or process improvement is a plus.\n No prior law firm experience required.\n\n \n Compensation & Benefits [Annual Salary: $60,000 - $65,000]\n\n Full-time position with competitive compensation\n Medical, dental, and vision premium reimbursement eligibility\n Paid time off\n Retirement savings program eligibility\n Direct mentorship and exposure to the Managing Director\n Significant opportunity for increased responsibility as the firm grows\n\n \n Why This Role Is Different\n Many early-career positions expose you to one narrow function.

This one won’t.

You’ll work directly with firm leadership and gain exposure to client acquisition, business development, operations, CRM management, technology, process design, marketing execution, and the economics of growing a professional-services business.

As you develop, the expectation is that you’ll move beyond simply executing established playbooks and begin taking ownership of increasingly complex projects and improving how the business operates.

For someone interested in a future career in operations, business development, entrepreneurship, technology, consulting, or general management, the breadth of experience can be particularly valuable.
