The Manager Software Delivery is accountable for end-to-end delivery of technology solutions within a product-led, mission-driven Agile environment. This role leads software delivery teams, manages execution plans, risks, dependencies, resources, vendors, and stakeholder communications, and ensures delivery outcomes align with business objectives, engineering standards, and operational expectations for our core platform, VST, and/or product teams.
Required
Experience in leading technical teams on the SAP and/or Salesforce platforms
Experience in managing patching/upgrades/releases on SAP and/or Salesforce platforms
Technical/engineering experience in either platform preferred
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 8 years of experience in delivery software products, with 4+ years of experience in management/leadership, and 2+ years of experience in hands-on development.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and time management skills.
Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle practices, Agile delivery methods, and team-based product development.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop software delivery teams while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Proven capability in delivery planning, milestone management, release coordination, and sprint execution.
Ability to identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks, dependencies, blockers, and resource constraints.
Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, facilitation, and expectation-setting skills.
Working knowledge of DevOps practices, operational monitoring, capacity analysis, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods.
Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, audit activities, compliance reviews, and governing policies as required.
Regulated utility experience strongly preferred.
Preferred
Strongly preferred experience in an Agile culture with the proven ability to coach teams and stakeholders in practice adoption and maturity.
Strongly preferred experience leading delivery of software development efforts within the relevant technology domain or platform environment.
Strongly preferred experience in relevant DevOps practices.
Essential Functions
Servant Leader responsible for managing/coaching agile software development teams in delivery of software.
Partners with stakeholders and the development team to establish a product delivery roadmap and ensures there is a shared understanding of product/business objectives, while meeting established engineering standards, procedures, and practices.
Partners with stakeholders and other teams to establish and manage expectations around milestones and schedule, owning issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
Ensures that software development teams have the resources they need to deliver software products and meet objectives, managing budgets and vendors.
Works with team to de-risk objectives, estimate and size work, establishes and maintains a burn up against milestones to hit high integrity commitments.
Optimizes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability, security, and performance
Encourage collaboration and proactively seek opportunities to improve collaboration with their stakeholders and other product teams and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
Proactively identifies and removes blockers, limits work in progress and prevents distractions.
Demonstrates effective and efficient capability in identifying, proposing, and soliciting innovative solutions to complex, time-critical challenges.
Coordinates release, regression, deployments and sprint planning and execution.
Provides leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development, and responsible for talent retention and acquisition.
Manages all internal and external sox reviews, audit reviews, and governing policies.
