• Hours: 40 to 45 hours per week

• Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 (usually day shifts, 9 – 6pm) on a rota basis

• Pay: £14.00 - £14.50 per hour

• Employment: Full-time

• Location: Accrington site, working within Lancashire area

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Luton Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a varied role combining warehouse duties with customer deliveries, so we're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and comfortable working across both areas of the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Driving a Luton van to complete deliveries to customers safely and efficiently.

• Loading and unloading goods, ensuring items are handled carefully throughout the delivery process.

• Assisting with general warehouse duties, including moving, organising and preparing stock.

• Checking deliveries and ensuring the correct items are loaded before leaving site.

• Delivering goods directly to customers in a professional and courteous manner.

• Assisting with the loading and organisation of vehicles to maximise space and ensure goods are secure.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse and vehicle.

• Following company procedures relating to health and safety, manual handling and vehicle checks.

• Completing routine vehicle checks and reporting any issues promptly.

• Providing a professional level of customer service during deliveries.

• Working as part of a wider team to support the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

• Carrying out reasonable duties as required to support the wider operation.

Requirements

• Must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.

• Full UK driving licence.

• No more than 3 penalty points on your licence.

• Previous experience driving a Luton van or similar-sized vehicle is preferred.

• Previous warehouse, delivery or logistics experience would be advantageous.

• Physically fit, as the role involves loading and unloading goods.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently when required.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• A practical, hands-on approach to work.

• Good awareness of safe manual handling practices.
