Job Description

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Valid driver's license

18 years of age

Able to lift occasionally up to 40 pounds

Have a personal smart phone with data usage capability

Qualifications

Motivated and dependable individual who can work alone or with a group in a minimally supervised environment.

Must have attention to detail

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Prior cleaning experience is a plus

Ability to use mobile apps (applications)

Responsibilities

Custodial staff members may be assigned to provide cleaning services to school buildings, offices, or light industrial facilities according to the cleaning specs of each building.

Cleaning responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming

Collect trash and replace trash can liners

Clean, sanitize, and supply restrooms

Clean and polish furniture and fixtures

Wipe windows, glass partitions, and mirrors

Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment

Dust and clean overhead vent

Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the custodian's closet

Communicate with Lead to ensure cleaning quality and customer service

Follow all safety guidelines

Follow proper procedures in the use of cleaning solutions, equipment, and tools according to specifications.

Report any abnormal activities or conditions to Lead.

Ensure all chemicals and equipment needed are available and in working order.
