ABOUT THE ROLE

Elwood Staffing is seeking technicians for a busy, team-oriented fleet service shop. This family-owned company has operated for several decades, servicing trucks, trailers, box trucks, and buses. The role combines mechanical repairs with light welding and fabrication.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform diesel truck maintenance and component repairs.

• Repair trailer structures, brakes, suspension, bodies, and lighting systems.

• Complete basic welding and fabrication work.

• Inspect equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and complete repairs efficiently.

• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2 years of diesel truck maintenance and repair experience.

• Knowledge of trailer brakes, suspension, and lighting.

• Basic welding and fabrication ability.

• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.

• Valid driver's license and ability to commute to the shop for the schedule listed above.

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Attention to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Trailer structural repair and light welding experience are preferred.

PAY AND BENEFITS

• $30+ per hour, paid weekly.
