Lead the procurement team in the Philippines and be responsible for promoting the procurement performance of DND in the Philippines. Cooperate with the global strategic commodity sourcing team and collaborate extensively with the other global DND procurement teams. The performance of the team will cover productivity, supply performance, quality, and the localization of key commodities. The team also incorporates commodity and supplier strategies as the basis for business operations. The leader will need to work across several different commodity categories, which include tooling, spares, stamping, molding, and die casting. The key is to promote the collaboration of internal cross-functional teams (including engineering, quality, product marketing, and corporate procurement) to achieve expected results. One of the key priorities for the leader is to drive the localization of key commodities in the Philippines. This will help shorten lead times, meet customer requirements for locally sourced components, and reduce inventory costs. The leader needs to influence internal and external stakeholders to help achieve key procurement priorities in areas such as cost, supply, quality, localization, and risk resilience. The leader will manage the business by following the SET (Strategy, Execution, Talent) framework.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver to performance of the procurement organization that includes productivity, supply performance, quality, and localization

Develop and manage localization supplier relationships and performance

Drive material localization efforts to achieve cost reduction and delivery service flexibility

Executes the competitive bid, negotiation, and contracting processes for direct materials

Collaborate with Design Engineering & Manufacturing teams to drive NPI project execution

Acts as an escalation point for delivery and quality issues that cannot be resolved by direct material buyers and obtains favorable resolutions for TE.

Reports and implements key TE Supply Chain Metrics (STR--delivery, Commercial Productivity—cost reduction, DLPM--quality).

Lead quarterly supplier scorecard review with commodity teams to drive supplier performance improvement in quality, delivery, and cost

Develop and ready existing/new suppliers to achieve material, volume, location, and capacity requirements. Ensures supplier audits are completed/passed, and strategizes with QA as required to improve and ensure supplier quality

Work with Quality to ensure that monthly supplier performance is monitored during the NPI phase. In addition, supplier issues are being resolved before introduction. Engages commodity managers if required.

Communicate with Sales and Design Engineering to ensure new and existing materials reduce the company's overall risk exposure in the supply chain.

Ensures direct materials are sourced in full compliance with TE policies and guidelines.

Enforce company and functional processes, policies, and safety regulations, and discipline as necessary

Oversee and delegate workloads of employees, ensure projects and assignments achieve goals/targets

Monitor and evaluate the performance of employees, personnel requirements, selection, and training

Develop, coach, and build a highly performing and engaged team

Instill a global mindset with strategic thinking in the organization

Act as a change agent to challenge the status quo if needed

WHAT WE NEED:

Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills.

Good financial and business acumen

Strong communication skills

Experience managing some of the critical commodities such as Tooling, Stamping, Molding, Plating, and Packaging

Localization experience of ramping the supply base in the Philippines

Global experience, as this role will require remote management of other plants outside the Philippines

Monitor and evaluate the performance of employees, personnel requirements, selection, and training

Good understanding of end-to-end new product development and new product introduction cycles

Essential negotiation and leadership skills, proactive team player, sense of responsibility, self-motivated, and goal-oriented attitude

working with integrated manufacturing software systems, i.e., ERP, MRP

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or Engineering discipline required

10+ years of experience in advanced procurement. Experience in supply chain management is preferred.

5+ years of management experience

Global exposure in previous roles is required

A graduate degree in business (i.e., MBA) is preferred
