QA Testing Analyst

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 months Contract with possibility to hire

Client: Apex / Huntington Bancshares, Inc. – Columbus

Pay Rate: $40-42/hr. on W2(AI)

Top Priority:

Hands on lead experience in Mobile Automation (deal breaker) using Appium or any other similar tool.

Hands on skills in API Automation

Test life cycle experience in Agile. (When interviewed, most of them are providing answers for Waterfall than Agile)

Some profiles are being submitted without looking at the basic qualifications.

Required Skills:

Experience with test life cycle and basic concepts in UI automation with Selenium and Cucumber.

Needs hands on experience in UI and API Automation

Additional Skills: Mobile Development Testing would be a huge plus

Ensure all planning and execution of assigned QA work (Integration, System, End to End and User Acceptance, production support) in Mobile channel is addressed on time without any escalations.

Participate in assigned Scrum ceremonies.

Understand QA scope, provide QA estimates and plan the tests.

Create Test cases/scripts (manual and automated) and ensure test data is in place.

Execute Tests (manual and automated) on time.

Participate in release discussions and provide QA support as needed.

Understand existing Automation Framework and maintain and modernize it, automate regression tests, and add value for optimization.

Provide hands on support in automation issues resolution and be a team player in ensuring Mobile QA Automation (UI & API) is successful.

Good communication skills and coordinate with offshore members as needed.

Daily status reporting to leadership during Functional Testing or Regression Testing and ensure the release defects are tracked to closure.

Risks/Issues within team are communicated proactively to Immediate Manager and assist in tracking them to closure.

Bring thought leadership in Mobile channel and add value to Testing needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computers Science or similar.

5+ years of hands-on experience with industry standard testing/development, quality assurance methodologies, verification, and validation processes.

5 years of hands-on experience in building automation scripts using Selenium, Java, Appium, Cucumber, Ruby for UI Automation

2+ years of hands-on experience in the following areas:

Using Jenkins for maintaining the automation runs on daily basis.

API Automation using Postman or Ready API or any other API Automation tool

Setting up and maintaining UI and API Automation frameworks

Working experience Agile Methodology as Quality Assurance Automation Lead

Mainframe Database testing

Azure Dev Ops for Test Management, Defect Management, Automation repositories tracking. Any other test management tool also works.

Testing on mobile devices (Android & iOS) in banking domain

Preferred Qualifications:

Flexible to work in a dynamic environment and support QA work for production release in a timely manner.

Experience in working on Perfecto

Knowledge on Continuous Integration and Continuous deployment
