Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Bilingual Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of three market-rate residential properties in Mansfield, CT.

The portfolio consists of 186 total units across three properties: one 30-unit community that is typically at or near full occupancy, along with two additional communities of approximately 80 and 76 units.

This is a one-person office, so the Property Manager will be responsible for handling a broad range of property-management responsibilities and will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, prospective tenants, vendors, and ownership. The ideal candidate is organized, self-sufficient, professional, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of three residential properties totaling approximately 186 units

Handle leasing activities, including responding to inquiries, showing apartments, processing applications, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs

Maintain strong occupancy and assist with marketing available units

Communicate professionally with residents and prospective residents in both English and Spanish

Serve as the primary point of contact for resident questions, concerns, and requests

Collect and track rent payments and follow up on outstanding balances

Prepare and maintain leases, renewals, notices, resident files, and other property documentation

Coordinate maintenance requests and communicate with maintenance personnel and outside vendors

Schedule and follow up on repairs and ensure resident issues are addressed in a timely manner

Conduct property inspections and monitor the overall condition and appearance of the properties

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed

Handle resident complaints and work toward appropriate resolutions

Enforce lease terms, property policies, and applicable regulations

Assist with notices, delinquency follow-up, and other resident-related matters

Maintain accurate records and property files

Communicate regularly with ownership regarding property operations, vacancies, maintenance, resident issues, and other matters

Perform general administrative duties associated with the operation of the properties

Other duties as needed to ensure the properties operate efficiently and professionally

Qualifications

Previous experience in residential property management is strongly preferred

Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents in both languages

Strong customer service and communication skills

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Comfortable working independently in a one-person office environment

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple properties and competing demands

Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive resident situations appropriately

Comfortable using computers, email, and property-management software

Knowledge of landlord/tenant regulations and fair housing requirements is preferred
