Job Description

The Custodian plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across clinical and administrative areas. This position involves a mix of light cleaning duties, routine maintenance, and occasional minor facility repairs, ensuring that both employees and visitors experience well-kept facilities. The role requires flexibility in shift times, covering hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with full-time benefits eligibility after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Clean public and reception areas, including entry glass, carpets, furniture, and vents

Maintain private offices by emptying waste, cleaning desktops, vacuuming, and dusting furnishings

Sanitize bathrooms by cleaning fixtures, mopping floors, refilling dispensers, and managing waste

Clean and maintain employee breakrooms, including appliances, sinks, and refrigerators

Sanitize exam areas by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and handling trash

Secure facilities by checking doors and reporting irregularities

Manage outside areas by picking up trash, sweeping entranceways, and cleaning doors

Water plants twice daily and care for aquariums, including cleaning glass, turning sand, feeding fish, and maintaining water levels

Perform minor facility repairs as needed and notify management of repair needs

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year custodial experience

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to adhere to company and regulatory policies, including HIPAA privacy and security

Flexibility to rotate across multiple office locations

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cleaning techniques and sanitization procedures

Strong time management and communication skills

Attention to detail and physical stamina for frequent mobility and lifting
